I'm still in shock to see your car so dirty...you used to have such a clean city rig...LOVE the transition man! Runners are just made to get muddy...funny thing with me is though, its either gotta be SPOTLESS or REALLY muddy!

WOW! They go for that much... I guess I shouldn't trim mine then! I'll wait and sell them on eBay then buy some sliders. First gotta "slide" this 2" lift idea past my wife's nose. I told her I needed "spacers" to correct the rubbing problem. Hey, that's not entirely wrong... spacers are the main component of a body lift right?! I'll just deal with my ugly running boards until enough time has gone by to get the sliders.

when my truck was new, i didnt wanna wheel it.. i had JUST bought it, so the burn of the total cost was still fresh in my head... so i wanted her to be perfect!
so i spent my mod money on the stereo... then by the time that was done i was used to the monthly payments, so i started really wanting to wheel
im of the same "its either gotta be SPOTLESS or REALLY muddy" mindset too though

I still do not understand how your gonna pay for the sliders......you gotta keep one kidney.....so even if you sell the "spare" your only half way there..............

well i have an 01, which sat lower, and the springs are higher than advertised (1.75) so id really say i have a little more than 2" of lift over stock.
i do indeed have 265/75/16s. road noise is very manageable.. i love the hum of these tires. i hear they get louder as they wear down, but i dont expect that to bother me at all, esp considering most people get minimum of 45-50K out of em.

I run with my boards off as soon as the weather turns, but I keep them for one reason... WINTER. Even the greatest mud flaps don't protect my rigs hid as good as those chitty boards. The pounding that sand, salt, and cinders can cause is serious... especially at interstate speeds.
I hope to find something like crawler#976 was working on...

oh i did miss it! 
I need to curb my spending for a little bit... I just bought a bedroom set, and I'm moving to a new apartment on the 1st, which will not be cheap...
the offer is very appreciated and I'll keep that in mind. I should be dealing w/ a new bumper around late sept/october...
i know i can offset the cost by selling my current stuff like you said, but id rather wait till i can buy the stuff i want, install it, then sell the stock parts after the fact...

Your truck's transition looks fantastic - congrats!
If you intend to actually wheel your beautiful 4Runner, then by all means, snag a set of sliders. But whatever you do, install a set of 'long' mudflaps now. After hearing pebbles 'clink' and 'clank' off my rockers when I first bought the truck, I pulled the stock 'splash guards' and installed a new set of full-length Tacoma front flaps.
Almost 100,000 miles and my rocker areas look like new. I think I have two actual chips. And I fly down gravel roads and have REVOs - which sling their share of rocks and such. Taco flaps are pricey, but they fit the lines of the truck well and have paid for themselves over and over. I've even partially yanked one off during a dumb altercation with a a curb (backing up) but was able to remount it without a problem. Let me know if you want any closeup shots.
