Burnt out relay?

Yesterday I was going to install a new switch for a new flood light I mounted on my tool box. Anyway to make a long story short I was a dumb a$$ and didn't disconnect the battery cable. Somehow I shorted something out and saw a spark fly from my switch that controls my 35W back up lights. They quit working but I have power from the wire leading from the battery to the relay but no power on the other side of the relay for the back-up lights. Is it possible to burn out a relay? Thanks, Mike

Yes change the relay, you probably fried it. If you have power going into it, but nothing coming out, thats your problem.

Yea, I think your right. I tried another switch and still got nothing so it just about has to be the relay. Thanks for your info and help, Mike
