getting ready to recieve a ARB Bull Bar. is there anything else i should add before or during the install? i am thinking about heavier duty torsion bars since the bumper weights so much, i dont want the front end sagging too much. and are these too hard to install(torsion bars), thanks for the help and information, ~KyLe

 

Corey said he only needed the thicker torsion bars after he put the winch on. Not necesary with just the weight of the bumper but more than likely you'll have to crank on them to level the truck again.

 

so i should be ok? no worries until i add a winch? i just dont wanna add the bumper and then need stronger torsion bars, and does anyone know how long i can run cranked torsion bars? not cranked too much just to level out the truck in case of drooping? thanks

 

I've read that when torsion bars fail they become incredibly stiff. Basically the steel loses its ability to twist. Make sure you get an alignment after you adjust your bars as even a small tweak can throw the settings way off.

 

i doubt you will have to get new tbars or crank yours. i had my stock torsion bars on for a while after i got my winch and arb up front, and ther ewas a light nose heavy look..but..with the bumper, it hink youll be just fine

 

Avoid them like the plague until the moment that you have a winch and only then add them if they are absolutely necessary.

I have them with only an ARB up front. The ride is not horrible, but the complete lack of compression and inability to come into the same area code as my front bumpstops is disconcerting.

The $100 that they will cost is better spent elsewhere and I would not consider it until you have a winch.
