Bumper mounted lights?

So I have a 2000 Limited 4runner and I want to mount the HELLA 500's I just bought but I'm not sure what to do about the plastic filler on top of the bumper, does anyone have any Ideas? or pictures to show whats been done?

thanks John

Get a couple piece's of steel drill them to fit the shank of the light , paint them to match and do the same for the underside attach the light's and you have a solid base for them and they should not bounce around.

Are you saying to put a piece of steel between the plastic filler and the bumper and then one on top?

Mark and drill your holes straight through the plastic and bumper. Use 2 fender washers per light or square/rectangle pieces of steel on the underside. You don't need additional hardware on top.
Larger washers or steel pieces (use steel if you can) on the underside will keep them planted just fine.

Hella 500's on my old '99+ bumper...

Thanks Rocket, thats what I'll do. Before I was thinking I might have to cut out a notch in the plastic, but this will work much better.
