Yea its bull. I don't think fooling the ECU about the incoming air temp is as good as fooling it about the engine temp (ETC mode?). If what they are selling is the resistor shown in one of the pics it is probably worth 25 cents. This mode may add 20 HP if your vehicle aready has 400 HP.

i wouldnt try it. those cheap ebay tricks can cause you trouble, especially messing with your ecu. be sure and check out the sellers feedback. doesnt sound like the buyers were too satisfied to me.

Must be a Radio Shack resistor.

Using the resistor to fool the ECU that the temp is cool. That just enriches the fuel mixture. Long term effects include build up on the upper cylinder walls, valves and bad gas mileage. The resistor will need to be removed prior to getting the vehicle emissions tested.

lastly, 20HP is a extremely optimistic when using the resistor. It's probably between 5-7 HP.

Yea, there was a thread about it not too long ago. It is a resistor exactly like one from Radio Shack. And yes, it's bull.
