Bugflector II for 3rd Gen: Screw in or 3M?
I'm looking to get a rock deflector for my hood and I'm thinking of getting the ventshade bugflector II. The description on the site says screw and tape, so to anyone with this...Does it screw in the existing holes under the hood of the 3rd gen or does it have to be taped on?
Thanks

Dunno about the 3rd gens but for my Tacoma it was a straight plastic screw into prexisting holes. Some of them went in no problem - others gave a little harder time. Mostly because they were plastic.
Some bugflectors will rub with the hood and may need to have a small clear rubber bump stuck on to the hood/fenders to avoid paint scratching. Maybe that's what they're talking about? I didn't end up needing mine.

Is this the AVS one cause I just installed mine last week and it sits well enough away from the hood but still conforms to the shape nicely without looking like a wall but is still easy to clean behind. It came with bumpstops as a precaution from vibration and wind pushing it back at highway speeds. I've yet to install the bumpstops but even at highway speeds it's stiff enough that it still stays off of the hood and it installed with plastic screws and inserts for the screws and used the stock holes;very simple install and took like three minutes.
