Budbuilt skids installation questions?

First up, that guy is stand up . Super cool to deal with over the phone. Got my entire package today( front skid , belly pan and new cross) and luckily I was home...."The fed -ex guy" was a girl, and she would have struggled all alone! She actually, told me what a pain in the ass it was to load her truck in the morning. She felt good when I told her I took the day off staying at home waiting for it to arive. This is heavy core. Anyhoo, anyone just not paint it and let it go au- natural? If soo how 's it look? Not trying to be lazy, just wondering. Just thinking of shootin some clear coat and being done. Also any tips on installation? Trying to get this done today or sun when old lady's pre occupied and not lookin! . Thanx much..... Tips really appreciated !

speak for the finish, google "hammerite", it's a spray-on coating which is very durable, clean the surface with acetone then spray directly on to the bear metal, it takes couple days to cure, but it's hell a lot tougher than clear coat.

i think home depot has it under the Rust-Oleum brand called Hammered.
