Broke the 4Runner tonight?

Well, it was either from the telephone poll that I hit(laying down didn't see it and used it as a ramp) or when I was attepting to clime a hugh rock hill(when it finally let go). I get a clunking noise in 4 wheel drive and a light clunck clunck driving it. The sound and feel starts to go away at 20mph. I didn't try going faster. I think its a CV joint because the drive shaft looks ok? Is this a common problem and is there a better CV joint to replace it with if that is the problem?
Thanks
Brad

brad m this is jason i noticed sometimes on my trucks that you cant tell sometimes if you have a bad u joint by grabbing the shaft with tires on the ground it holds the shaft tite to one side. jack it up and you mite be able to tell better because it lets it move freely. grab it on each side of joint and twist against each other thats the best way i noticed to do it. just a suggestion hope that helps
