Brighter Luggage compartment light on 3rd gen runner

I use my 4runner about twice a month to haul some sort of cargo. I would like to have more light in the rear. I swapped the main interior light for the cargo light and I noticed that it is much brighter. I want to know if I buy two of the bright lights if it will cause me to blow a fuse? Has anyone else installed a brighter luggage compartment light? I saw one online that had three LED lights inside the body of the stock light. It was pretty trick, but I don't want to spend $15 on a light when I can get a higher wattage light for less than a buck.

You just need to check how many amps the light draws and how big the fuse is for it. Obviously it won't blow if its below the fuse limit. If theyre on different fuses completely you should be fine.

not to mention heat, a higher wattage light will produce more heat. You'll have a higher chance of melting the housing, or even start a fire. The beauty of the LED's is that they produce so little heat that you can have 20 of them and not feel it get hot.

go with LEDs, theyre always a good upgrade and you wont have to worry yourself to sleep at night thinking about your rig burning down to rubble
