Brembo Flat Rotors and OEM Pads
Replaced my front rotors and pads this weekend. No more squealing!
I was going to do them myself but found a place that would do the labor portion for $65. I didn't have a torque wrench ($70) so it turned out to be a good deal.
Here are the part numbers for reference:
Brembo Rotors: #25488, $46ea
OEM front brake pads: #04465-35280, about $40
Labor: $65
Total: approx $200
This is for a 1998 Limited, 16" wheels.

I've replaced my front brake system with slotted/drilled Brembos with Raybesto's ceramic pads and couldnt be happier. It's been over a year and I have had NO issues with fading or vibrating with minimal brake dusts. Brake fading got me freaked me out coming down a mountain pass 2 yrs ago.

Just a word to the wise, your own strength will torque most things on more than enough.
I put the wheels back on using a X shaped tire iron as tight as I could, grabbed the torque wrench and went to use it to find they were already torqued, same goes for other various stuff. Unless its over 100ft-lbs I dont even bother with a torque wrench.

Tisk tisk, not owning a torque wrench. Put it on your christmas list, everytool box should have at least a 3/8 torque wrench.
As for Lug nuts...torque shmorque, that's what Impact Guns are for!

Yep, that's what one of the last tires places I went to believed. I actually had to stand on my lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts after having them rotate my tires. I weigh 215, so what do you think they were torqued to? Thankfully, I didn't break any lugs though.

No thats not what they are for, they are for removing the lugs and for other removal and installation. They are not for putting on wheels unless you can crank down the pressure they are putting out.
You put them on tight and you wont ever get the lugs off without a gun or worse you shear off the studs when you take the lugs off.
I sincerly hope you were being sarcastic.

When looking for rotors, a number of members aren't sure what size to get because they have 16" rims, and their door jams say they were 15" from the factory. My question is; Does anyones door jam say 16" from the factory? Everyone I've seen have 16's, but they all say 15 in the door-jam.
