Just wondering if the rear brakes (drums/shoes) have indicators like the pads... I've changed the fronts as well as turned the rotors and I'm kinda wondering about the rears...

Aside from that, I'm starting to notice a, somewhat, violent shake from the front while braking... this doesn't happen all the time and only happens during moderate pressure. When I say "violent shake", I mean "not only the stearing wheel, but the whole dash shakes". Any ideas/answers?

 

Probably warped rotors. You're better of replacing them. It fixed my shaking. As far as the rear brakes, I'm not an expert but if your e-brake isn't stopping the car well, you need to have your rears adjusted or changed. Best way is to take off the drum and inspect it.

If you cut the rotors and you get a shake, more than likley they are warped. I would not try to have them recut. You can after market rotors for under 100 bucks. This gives you a better pedal also.
As far as the rears, gotta look at them. Never heard of them having wear idicators unless it was too late and you were on the rivets which means either new drums or having them cut also.

 

rear shoes dont have wear indicators like the front pads.... you just need to take the drum off and look at them... depending on who makes them/design, some shoes are glued to the backing plates and some are rivited, the glued ones can be used further down than the rivited ones if that makes sense... if you dont know what you are doing when looking, take it to a shop and have them do a brake inspection.... brakes arent something to piddlyfoot about...
