Brake pads and fuel filter replacement.

Brake pads and fuel filter replacement.
I need to the change the brake pads on my 4runner and I'm wondering what a good brand is. I've gone pads from Autozone/Chakcers before and they left brake dust on my wheels.
Also, is there a specific brand of fuel filter that is better than the other or all they all the same?

I just did my front brake 2 weeks ago. I went with Hawk pads and Cryostop rotors.....I love them so far. Don't use autozone pads or rotors, the are cheap POS As far as the fuel filter, I've always used the Wix filter.

i went with OEM on the fuel filter when i did mine a couple years ago. as for pads, i bought some Bendix brand from O'Rielly's last year because the parts manager at work said they were "the best"; gotta say they are crap and left about 10 layers of nasty brake dust on my rims that i have to clean up now. so, i just bought some OEM pads that will go on next week sometime. so thumbs down for Bendix fyi.

I just went OEM. Had fun changing the fuel filter. Had to retighten the front fitting 3 bloody times. Couldn't get it to set right but it's all good now and I learn that gas will removed that 3M Rubberized Protection crap (just don't get it in your hari

Ron,
Could you please explain the difference and also do you have the part number? My brake pads will need to be changed out within the next couple of months along with the rotors. Thanks.

I'll second the opinion on the WIX filters. they make very quality stuff.
I have been using Raybestos pads for years and like them very much. They make different quality levels so just make sure you aren't buying their entry level pad. still better than most but the extra $$$ is well worth it.
