I have 138k on my original pads and shoes and still have about 1/3 left. No dust either. Soft compounds will wear fast but stop better. BMWs always have lots of dust on the front wheels and your are luckey to get 25k - 30k a set.

I just got back from picking up my 4runner from getting new Brembo drilled/slotted rotors and Apex pads installed. All I can say is Wow!! Seriously, the new set up is amazing. No more wobble comming to a stop and no more squealing. The Brembos are heavier than the stock rotors and I can seriously feel the difference when I drive. My front end actually feels more stable now. Either that or I'm experiencing some sort of placebo effect from the Brembos. All I can say is definitly get rid of the stock rotors, they are junk and will almost always warp. Almost everyone on this sight can say the same. Good luck.

I have 146K on my original pads and have about 25% left. I will probably change them as soon as the weather warms up a little. And I have never had any dust on the wheels...
