Brake Calipers
Alright, so heres the deal. Last night, I was headed home and was cruising down the highway at about 80.(texas highways) and came upon some traffic. My obvious course of action was to apply my brakes to slow as I would hope most of you would do. The only problem is.... when i let back off the brake my drivers front caliper did not do as i pleased and remained in the compressed state.
I pulled over and inspected the situation and then limped home. Today I ordered the rebuild kit from Oreilly's unsure of whether or not the heat could have damaged the actual caliper. What are your thoughts? and if you have an extra set of calipers that wouldn't need to be rebuilt would you want to sell them.

It's almost impossible to damage a caliper. They have a near infinite service life if you rebuild them with new seals and boots every 150K or more. No worries.
Your rotors are probably glazed pretty good. Get them turned or get a new pair.

HAHA this is awesome I just looked today at Advanced Auto and was going to tundra convert the front brakes. This is what i would suggest doing. They are the way to go. After looking here it sounded easy to do but after looking at the actual parts this is going to be so easy and alot better. But i will have an extra set for a 97 SR5 4x4 with the 16" wheels. Was going to core the calipers.
