I was driving in Los Angeles last night... and noticed that my brake and battery light were flickering. It would only happen if i was braking hard. The harder I would brake, the brighter the flicker of the warning lights would be.

I figured that maybe my brake resevoir was low and when i was braking, the fluid went forward and triped the sensor. But the battery?... dunno

i havent had a chance to check it out yet. It doesnt happen anymore. I tried breaking really hard this morning but nothing. I will have to troubleshoot it after work today.

any ideas?

 

Brake and Battery light at the same time would indicate a charging system problem to me. Might want to have the Alt. load tested. Just a thought.

 

Make sure that your battery terminals are tight on the battery. When we were wheeling one time, my ground terminal was a little loose and all the lights on the dash went crazy.
