Ok guys you probably remember my post on 3.4 swap dead in the water......just wanted to update everyone. I really appreciate all the info you guys gave me for the swap but i have decided to just fix the head gasket myself and drive the Runner into the ground. I bought my wife a '98 4Runner SR5 4x4 and traded my Taco in on it but its very NICE!!! Love it already. Cant believe the differance between the 3.0 and 3.4.....no comparison. Anyway just wanted to thank everyone who replied to my post and all the info i got from you guys. Maybe the swap can be done later on my '95 Runner.

I've driven my friend's 3.0 and you are right that there's no comparison to the 3.4;I'm glad I got a 3rd gen since I was very close to gettting a 2nd gen.

 

I too almost got a 2nd gen at one point but glad I have my 3rd gen instead.
It wasn't really well thought out at the time....just no financing on the 2nd gen....lucky me.
