Bought a factor hitch but

no mounting hardware included, does anyone know what i should get and where the wiring is? do i have to splice wires or does it have snap-on connectors? I took a glance at the underside but nothing apparent. Help is much appreciated, thanks.

Check with the manufacturer to make sure you got all the parts.

You need metal nuts and bolts big enough so they don't fall through the mounting holes, and splice into exiting wire.

The back nuts sits on a long piece of metal to help you align them with the bolt (they a inside the frame. I don't how to do it with out those. Maybe you can get a mounting kit from the dealer or ebay.

You can get any bolts you want. Some will get scientific with grades of steel and such, but reality of things is you will never generate enough force to shear any bolt. As for wiring, again, splice. Easiest way is to take both tail lights off, and probe wires until you find which is which, strip the insulation and solder the trailer harness to it.

oh so wiring is not prepared for this(no connector and such)...I thought it was. I called around for parts to toyota but they dont have it as replacement part. I guess I'll have to align the hitch myself since I cant get the factory bolts that keepts it aligned. Thanks for help guys.

Mark, if you're out there, can you describe the 4 bolts that mounts onto the frame? not the 2bolts close together that's mounted towards the rear bumper. I gotta know what to buy when i make a trip to this bolt place. Since you've flipped ur hitch I figure you know what it looks like. If anyone else know input is much appreciated.

Go to walmart and get a plug in adapter you'll need it if you have seperate turn and stop lights and your trailer has stop/turn signals on the same bulb filament

As for wiring get this kit, it's as close to factory, but much cheaper;

There should be 3 holes in each side of the frame, but only 1 will be threaded, a special bracket with 2 nuts attached to it, slides into the inside of the frame, then you can mount the hitch assembly.
