Body mount bushing question

I was under the rig tonight getting ready to put in the body lift tomorrow when I noticed that the bushings under the 'b' pillar do not phisically touch the underside of the frame pad. No I don't have any pics. Let me try to explain...looking from underneath you see the pointy end of the bolt, then the nut, then the thick rubber bushing, then there is about a 1" gap, then the frame plate, then another thin bushing or washer I can't tell, then the underside of the body. Why is there a gap only on the 'b' pillar area mount and the rest are in contact with the frame plate? Is this normal?

Also, before I run down and get some body bolts any idea what length I need? I know some are longer than others. This is for a 2" body lift by the way.

Does it have a body lift? Sonds like they left some out if it does. Body bolts wouldn't cure this - you aren't gonna cinch it down tight (bend the body?) Maybe the factory isolators are 2 part and one part deteriorated and feel out? Find another one like it and have a look - heck, it may just be the way they're built!

The BL will get installed this afternoon. The body sits ok on the frame everywhere, this gap is underneath the frame mount NOT between the body and frame. It just seems weird to me how it has the gap.

ass-U-Me

I assume it's normal. If not, this is one heck of a coincidence.

Pardon the mud

Thats EXACTLY what I mean! Thanks for the reply! This is a relief. It must be normal but just seems odd.

Only thing I can think of is it's designed that way to allow for flex between the body and frame.
