on board air

I was wondering what model of early 1980's cadillac had the air-ride suspension so I could get a couple of the air compressors from the junk yard. Then I can get started on my on board air project
Thanks

That's because I don't know, haha. I had my friends pick it up for me when they went to the junkyard. The compressors are on the drivers side wheelwell, so it should be pretty easy to spot. Just go look at some caddies.

Here's a guy on tacomaterritory selling some caddy compressors: http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/mb/...ry&msg=82487.1

He's asking $30 each. I got mine for $20 each.

Robinhood150-I was wondering if i should go with 2 or 3 compressors? I was thinking 3 would put less stress on them?
Thanks

Oh, I don't know...I think you get diminishing returns if you go more than 2. No matter how many compressors you have they all have to get up to the same pressure, it just wouldn't take quite as long. Somebody on the 4x4wire also said when he was running 3 they were working against each other. Of course, I don't have any data to support any thing I'm saying...

I say go for 2 now, then if you want to, get another later...cheaper that way if you decide 2 is enough.
