blower help request

I have lost the first two speeds of my heater blower in my 1989 pickup with A/C. So far I have replaced the switch in the control head and then replaced the relay assembly with no change. Is there some other part in the system that I haven’t found?

Any suggestion is appreicated and thanks in advance.

Sounds like the resistor is thrashed. On earlier years, it is in the passenger side footwell near the blower fan. I think it's in the same place for your vintage as well.

Yep. Just follow the wiring from the blower motor to the next component & that should be it. $15 from the Stealer.

blower resistor

Finally something I can help with- I went to the steeler, and they ripped me for $30 for the replacement resistor, that only gave me three speeds. I found the proper replacement on ebay, they have them now and then. I also had a burned wire where the switch wiring plugged into the wiring harness. It caused an intermittent problem that drove me crazy. It would make the relay buzz. It was very strange and I practically disassembled the truck before I found the problem. You can jump the resistor plug to get high speed blower service until you get a resistor. I almost froze to death running the a/c on high, but it kept my wife happy. Good Luck.
