that is the cause of my whole debate. and i think im just going to go with the OME setup with the top plate spacer i cant foresee myself needing to adjust them down the road.

If you cant justify the money for coilovers (because of your offroading needs) but are willing to spend the dough....have you thaught about Sonoran Steel's 7.2 kit (thaught you'd like another option in the mix)

I used to run OMEs with my Tundra coils up front for a while before I changed to Sonoran Steel's Bilsteins and liked the feel of the Billies better.

If the Bilstein/Tundra front end is something you want to consider, it might be worth your time to give Sonoran Steel a call and talk to Steve about what you want out of your lift and what he has to offer.

wow decisions decisions, i know people have really liked steve's lifts in the past That is very interesting to know you liked them better then OME. Finally someone who has had both and can comment on them. What was different about the two? Why do you like the billys better? Now im going to really have to look into them.

Also looking at your pics, the 882 seem to be to tall for me, your CV angles are harsher then i would like to run and with running stock tires it think it will be to much. anyone else have an opinon on that?
Believe me, I struggled with the front lift options too before going with the OME's, so no worries! I'm using the 882's without top plate spacers/trim packers. The only real reason to use them is to level out the lift from side to side. With my setup, there's about 1/16" of variance, so not enough to worry about.

The 882's are tall and gave me right at 3" of lift, which is a little much for some people. I did use the diff drop kit, which brought the CV angles more in line. They're not as level as stock, but I haven't noticed any binding or leaking issues even while off roading, and my rig has taken a beating at times! Given what I've seen on other rigs, I think mine are actually fine.

If you're going to be using stock 265/70/16 tires, my lift might be a little tall. With my 285's, I think the lift I have is about perfect. Down the road, I'll be doing 305/70/16's and will probably do a 1.5-2" body lift at that time. Again, good luck!

I've ridden in a rig with the SS lift (I think it was the 1.2, but can't remember for sure). It's a very nice setup and seems to ride fairly decent. They seem to do well off road too. Steve's complete lifts are nice in that they come complete with all of the hardware you'll need and he's researched all of the parts firsthand and knows what works best.

It basically comes down to price and how you'll be using your rig. My OME/LC coil setup ran about $650 complete as you see it in my picture. Both CO's and SS kits will run much more. For the amount of wheeling I do, I just couldn't justify paying more than I did.

thats my problem, i just want to make sure i do it right. now that i really look into the SS i like the fact that its got everything down to the hard ware. but i also already have the OME rear shocks. I think i need to just order something and be done with it. Ill probly be happy either way i go.

I wouldn't let the fact you already have the OME rear shocks sway you one direction or another. I would make up my mind this way:

Hardcore/frequent wheeler: SS kit - highly proven off road and well built

Infrequent wheeler/lift for looks only: OME kit - good off road, but a notch under the SS kit. A great lift for the price.
