Black chrome wheels

Anybody know where black chrome (black pearl) wheels can be found for our Runners?

Months ago, I ran across a site that had some but can't for the life of me find it now.

I don't want the AR black painted ones -- looking for black chrome.

Hey,
I'm not sure what black crome looks like, but is it something like the JAOS rims? A new member here posted a pic of his rig with some of those rims on it a few days ago.

Well, that's probably not any help, but though I'd through that out there anyways.

Have fun.

I saw some that are similar to these Black Tech Ones,

but with the lugnut area all done in chrome.
I can't find them online, but have seen pics in the off road mags, and in person.

They are PRICY. I will, however, beat any advertised Jaos pricing including that one. One way or another though, they aren't cheap.

JASON B, it would be nice if you would share where you got yours since you "beat any advertised Jaos pricing including that one."

Cool

VF84Tomcat when you find some, or at least some jaos alternates, PLEASE let me know. I've been to ld that the only way that I would be able to get gunmetal or off colored wheels is to have them painted. TO have them painted here in Tx would push them damn near to the jaos stratosphere in cost, and the other option is to ship them out of state...I can kill that train of thought right there. Thanks Jason B for offering, but I just can't see putting that much into wheels right now... although some nut here has a runner like mine and he put some Davin rims on his. For those who don't know those are the 'spinning' rims...ones that continue to spin when you stop at a red light. Check them out http://www.skperformance.com/WHEELS/davin.htm. I think....well to each his own.

My $0.02,

Outkast,

If it's any consolation I was told by some that the black rackcrawler steel rims wouldn't fit mine but I have come to find out after purchasing the ones I have now that the do fit they just fit really close to the front calipers, on the 13" upgraded optional discs. I have seen these on black runners just like mine and I've asked a few people about it and they say that the manufacturer and stores will tell you they don't fit because "they" won't install them due to liablility but you can buy them and have the tires mounted and put them on yourself. that is, if you weren't bent on the alloys. I'm not bent on the alloys, I just wanted offraod durablility and be able to replace at low cost if one got mangled on the trails. $60 as opposed to $130 for the alloys I got.

Just thought I share.

There is a guy at school that got a 02 Z71 Tahoe and put spinners on it... I find it ironic that he got the off-road package went for the on-road look... oh well... to all his own...

Talking

I got some wheels chromed once and the guy doing the chrome screwed up the "mix" on the chrome. I believe he put too much nickel on or in (not 100% sure) and the chrome turned out REAL dark. I was a little sketchy about it at first but once we polished them, they were almost a blue like a gun barrel (more silver than that but that's the closest description I can think of right now). VERY cool BUT they were one off's that probably couldn't be exactly duplicated. It's a thought if anyone knows anyone in the chrome business.

I had a friend that had some Lunar amps nickel plated and they looked almost black but REAL shiney (sp??). There is a picture (very small though) located here. I wish I had some better pictures of the amps.

Hope this helps.
