Revtek makes a 3" kit. thats the biggest kit, and the biggest amount of lift you can get. you can piece components together to make your own "lift kit" too. 4Runner Suspension Options

You'll need a BL to fit 35's. You'll also either want to change gears or get a SC to get some more pep back in the accelaration.

so 3" suspension, and 3" body I assume. Definately throw some better gears back there 33's are just a tad bit too small for my taste..I had a 94 Z71 with SFA setup and a 17" suspension lift, and 44" tires for just over a year. 33" tires compared to 44" tires is like comparing a midget to a giant I will 'settle' for 35" tires, but if I can will squeeze bigger.

i can clear 33s (285/75s) with 2.5", but 3" will do good too. If you want 35s, itll take 3" body and suspension, plus lots of trimming. i know a guy with 33x1250s who rubs with 2.5" suspension and 3" body. so 35s are a stretch.

I don't mind doing a little trimming to fit the bigger tires. I certainly won't be flexing enough to make a difference..I am not a trail guy although I do enjoy playing in the mudd

i know someone who has a 4runner (dont know the year) but i think he has a 6.5" lift and is running 35" thornbirds... btw, that chevy sounds sweet. couldnt have been street legal though... not in my state anyways. i met this guy who has a old GMC pickup with some like 6 foot tires... he took two rear ends off of soem tractors (i think) and rigged them up as his wheels for his truck.....    its a crazy ride... he does mud races with it. has two big snorkels coming up out of the hood.

Retro fit a Tacoma lift, like the 6" Trail Master lift. The front is easy, since the rear of the tacomas are leafs youd have to do some mix matching. Run a OME HD coils in the rear with a 2.5-3" Spacer, but you will have to extend your links to do that. This is just a thought on what to do to clear 35s.

From what ive heard, the front crossmember is a different width than the width of the Tacomas. so b/c of that, the tacoma kits wont work. but if im wrong, i would convert the rear to leafs before trying to lift the rear 6" w/ coils. There are so many adjustments you would have to make.

If you are serious about this you have to decide what you want out of it. Do you want a pre runner, a rock crawler, or street cruiser? If you wamt a pre runner check out http://www.camburg.com or http://www.atsracing.com they both make 6" long travel kits for the front end and they will also custom fab you a rear setup. If you want a crawler get some FJ-80 landcruiser straight axles and swap them over with lots of custom fabrication. if you want a street cruiser either get a revtek or cornbred style spacer lift and then a 3" body lift. Any of these shold clear 35's. Good luck!
