Best place to get Gears done in WA?
#3
How much would you charge to do 4.88? Do you have connections on gears or would somebody have to provide them?
I'm planning on going to 33's so I'm trying to find a good deal and I'm not too far away.

I've got an 89 4runner. ring and pinions for front 7.5 ifs and rear 8. Are part of a shop? How much to do both?

Bring the gears, install kit for each end and 1 gallon of gear oil. I don't have any gear connections, I just know how to install them. If you haven't thought about lockers now would be the time to consider some extra traction. I work for a Toyota dealer as a day job but this won't be through them, this will be at my own shop. It'll take me most of the day to get them installed so if it's possible to bring me the diff assemblies you can be back on the road home in about 4-6 hours after you get here. It'll be about 8-12 hours if I have to R&R the diff assemblies myself.
Labor:
$350 to do a complete R&R of the diff assemblies.
$200 if you bring me the 3rd member and the whole front diff end-to-end.
It might not be worth it to come out here from Seattle to get some gears installed. I'd love to get the job but like any gear head I'm always looking for a good deal and I'm sure you are too. Check out Northwest Differential if you haven't already. They're in the Seattle area and are more than qualified to perform the same job without the moderate drive to Wenatchee. Let me know if you want more info.
