Hi all,new here and have a few questions.thanks in advanced.
I installed my front coil spacer lift and i am getting terrible tire rub on the uca. The po put 6 to 5kug adapters with tundra rims and 33s.the rims bolt up almost at the face of them (no offset)which is one big problem. I am considering making a ball joint spacer /spindle spacer to bring the uca back above the tire after the lift and to stop the rubbing issue. I need to know what the thread size is for the upper ball joint to make this spacer.im basically going to use a bolt extender to do this.

 

Your better to buy different upper control arms, there are a few option but stay away from uni-balls, or you can cut the protruding edge off the UCA and weld a cap over the opening. Wheel spacers are not a great idea especially on the front short wheel studs, 6 lug to 5 lug, again not ideal but if you have a spare no biggy i guess. The UCA usually runs into the side wall on droop.

 

I have cut the stock controll arm metal back but it still rubs.i plan on getting different ucas.but will new ones set the uca back above my tires?

 

Those rims won't work then, the offset is incorrect for this suspension regardless of what UCA you put on. IMO I would sell those rims and spacers and buy 2016-2018 17" 4R trail edition rims or something that will fit.
