badging/ debadging

do the badges come off with no holes behind them? or did toyota put holes behind them yet again? oh btw i have a 2001 4runner sr5.

Only ones that have holes behind them are the front emblem on the grill (with screws) and the rear Toyota symbol right by the wiper (one on top and one on bottom). IIRC.

on the rear hatch 4x4 Fink is exactly correct. Only the Toyota symbol in the dead center by the wiper arm has holes behind it. The word badges do not have holes but are merely stuck on.


Don't know about the front yet.

I tried to take one of my emblems off and it left a nasty imprint of the emblem from where the sun faded the paint.....just FYI

Just as an addition to this thread, it is to note that on 96-98 the 4Runner emblem on the lift gate license plate surround has 6 holes.
Obviously this doesnt apply to the OP but for anyone else who comes across this thread.
