Can this be as simple as connecting the power wire to the existing reverse lights wire, and then grounding the other wire from a set of aftermarket bulbs? If it was this simple, I may attempt this project sooner than I had been planning too...

Bump to top.............. A buddy of mine in High School built a wild front bumper and used these bright round lights with rubbers seals to put in the front of it for driving lights. Does anyone who lives in the states know of lights that people use when building trailers with the rubbers seals on them and where to get them at? I absolutely HATE tailgaters and would love to be able to flip on some nice bright lights to get them to back off.. plus I hate backing up my runner at night.. can't see Sh$t!

Joey, those rubber seal lights you are talking abut are right here.
They are trailer/tractor lights that you see on semi trucks mounted behind the headache racks so they can see their air lines, snow chains, ect at night to get too.
You also see these on tow trucks on the rear a lot.
