Actually, I was looking at these rims:

I've never seen a picture of these rims on a 4runner or tacoma, though. The mickey thompson classics would be great if they didn't rub the calipers.

Those are the TRD Ivan Stewart 5-spoke rims I was talking about. The description in the link just doesn't call them "Ivan Stewart"...but that's them. I'm considering purchasing a set myself.

Here's a old shot of Blake's 4Runner with those TRD rims before he traded them with Ric: Blake's 4Runner

Here's a shot of Ric's 4Runner now with the same wheels: Ric's 4Runner

Are you sure the M T classics rub the calipers? There's quite a few guys here running these rims w/ larger than stock tires. A simple search turned up the following:

I know Darren's running the Classic IIs w/o any problems: Darren's 4Runner

So is Lee: Lee's 4Runner

Oh and here's a shot of Tommy's 4Runner w/ the Classic Locks: Tommy's 4Runner

There are more, just didn't feel the need to post all of them.

Thanks - I was reading all of Blake's threads last night. He did quite a bit of moding on his 4runner. The TRD rims look good and probably work well with 285 tires.
Darren's 4runner website almost convinced me to go with a 2 to 3 inch lift. His 4runner looks awesome. I did read that he had to use wheel spacers to make the MT rims work.
Anyway, it's all very tempting, but I think I'm going to stick with a mild lift via 99 springs. The springs just arrived today, and I just need to find a shop to install them now.
