Be careful... Real Player is one of the WORST apps for installing crap that runs behind your back. You can turn it all off, but only after it installs. Look for a new systray icon, and there's a daemon service as well.

The original video was from my DV Camcorder, sent to Pinnacle Studio 8 via Firewire.

Pinnacle allows me to save the source in just about any video format, and any quality.

I used RM because it is the smallest file size that maintaines decent quality. Those files would have been at least 2x as large in AVI or MPG format.

Rights, that's the reason for a MPG to RM converter.

MPG's are too large.
