Ok then it really only works on the Tacoma as those front lights are markers only....right? Man I am all turned around now!!

Now what we could do it put the driving lights down where those flashers are and make the marker lights (on either side of the headlights) work as flashers and markers....hhmmm

Anyone know how much the front end settles with a TJM 15 and 17? I just got an alignment so I still have a short warranty to take it back in if I have to crank on the torsion bars some more. I have a 2nd gen so I'm not sure there are many TJM equipped 2nd gens running around.

BTW it was Steve's truck that made me consider the TJM17 - I like the cleaner look without the hoops.

Have you ever seen a grown man (physically not mentally) jumping up and down in his apartment?

I'm getting a new bumper ... I'm getting a new bumper

I guess I'll be taking my dates to that little Irish restaurant around the corner for the next few months (ie McDonalds)

From my understanding about it being a bolt on for ALL 3rd gens, is that when you tell Mike your year, he will send a set of brckets with yourbull bar, supplied by TJM that make the bar boltright on to early model 3rd gens(96-98), so from what I get about all this, YES it is a bolt on application for 96-98 rigs as well.

Mike THANK YOU sooooo much, this is an awsome oppertunity, EVERYONE that wants one, jump on this band wagon. But take your time, I need to get some extra hours in at The Depot and start stashing away some major cash, I don't need to wipe out my account any time soon without making the usual payments . But please EVERYONE sign up, the more that we get on this group buy the better. So lets show Mike some apreciation for hooking us up and get him a huge list of orders generated here.

Talking thanx

keisur - thanks! I looked at teh "chart" on the site and it said "no" to airbags except on the land cruiser models. Not that it WOULDN't Work...only that it's not tested.

whot's the install time on either of these? is it something a shadetree like myself could do?

I just got mine from Mike last month...

Recruit one of your friends, it certainly helps to have an extra pair of hands, but this is definitely something you can do yourself at home or after a
Mine went on in about 30 minutes with a buddy.
I already had the lower bumper, valance, and grill off and ready to go.

There is a very large sticker that came on the inside that say's
"NOT AIRBAG COMPLIENT, DO NOT INSTALL ON A VEHICLE WITH AN SRS AIRBAG""
But like you said, and from my understanding after talking with Mike, it is not that it won't work like the Landcruiser, it just hasn't been tested so they can't sell it as a complient model.

It may not go off in a fender bender but when it matters... it will.
I'm not overly concerned. There's alot of guys running these...
Anyone out there have any unfortunate tales or experience?

It's supposed to be a very easy install, there is a bit of wirering to do with the tur signals, but I have read a few write up and it doesn't seem all that intimidating at all. I've never done any major mechanical install on my Runner before but I am very confdent that I can tackle this thing. Find a few people's sites who have done it and read about their experiances, it's not that bad at all. Go for it, if you never try you'll never know. So far I only know that keisur and myself are signed up, come on I know more were talking bout this before on this thread, let Mike here it, lets get some orders generated. He is cutting us all one heck of a deal, your not going to see a price like this on a TJM for awhile to come.

Um, what in sam hill is that in there where the end cap is cut off and a new one is fabbed up with bolts welded to it and then weld in place of the stock end caps? I thought the TJM was a "bolt on" job, no welding involved? if I missed something in a prior post above forgive me but that looks to be more trouble than the install for the t15 or t17 would actually be.
