Although I am currently saving up for a lift, if the opportunity arises to buy a TJM for $520 or so, I would immediately set aside current plans and snatch one up. Pretty please Mike... unless of course you wanna do a SAW Coilover group buy instead that is.

Stump:

I ran my TJM with the stock shocks, coilovers, and springs for over 30 days while I was waiting for my lift to arrive.
I had no sagging in the front (However, I never had a winch in there)
I never felt like the stock suspension hindered the bumper...
Even braking was o.k. a tad bit of nose dive.
Now that the SAW's are in though...

I'm liking the TJM bar without the bars around the headlights. Dunno why but I'm just not crazy about that. If I had to make a choice I'd probably go ARB over TJM just for the thinner bars above the bumper or T17 since it doesn't have any at all.

You know, a few years back I called up ARB and asked them if they could make a bumper without the round bars on top, as I was turned off by them.
They said no.

Now I like them, and it adds more protection.
The bars on the ARB I diggith.

I guess I don't like them since it reminds me of the look so many people go with their poseur grill guards - the kind that smash in the grills and headlights in an accident. I think I can live with a bullbar that has the grill protection - I'm not opposed to that at all.

I do kinda wish that where the upright supports are in the center of the grill I could put lights there though so that I'm not blocking my grill openings so much if I do get a bullbar. I live in some major heat here and the idea of blocking airflow is not pleasant.

I'm currently leaning to the TJM-17 but I need to see some ARB and TJM bumpers up close to see which one actually fills my needs. Many of the bumpers on our fire rigs look similar but in operation are very different.

You know what guys...I am never going to make any money on this business if I keep on discounting everything (I am kidding of course)...alright with that said, I will do a group buy on the TJM for you

Those of you who have purchased recently, if this group buy goes through you will be compensated as that is only fair.

For those of you who would like a TJM T-15 your cost will be $589.60...I need atleast 5 of you, however, the more the better!! Please understand, if you are considering this bar, I would really think about joining this buy as I will not do it again for quite some time.

Let me know who is interested, not interested as in hhmm maybe yes, interested as in yes I want it for sure. I am not being a jerk, I just need to make sure we have an accurate count as that is only fair to everyone else. Please send e mail with your vehicle year, make, model to sales@xtremeoff-road.com and I will forward you a freight quote.

Also, I will give you the address for the case of beer as well

Mike

Hey do the TJM-17's require any cutting of the frame, or are they a direct bolton too?

I really like these better than with the hoops.

Mike, if you could lump these in with the group buy(so long as they are a direct bolt on), then I might have to give up some of my harley money!

Thanks a lot Darren...Hey guess what, they came out with a bracket to mount Hella Driving lights where the running lights on the bumper are located...I think I may look into doing that mod

Ha! Well I'll be! Why would those lights (the Hellas) require a bracket?

Oh, do you mean the turn signal lights, I guess . . . maybe? :alien:

I was thinking you were talking about the PIAA's, but I have no idea. I am really lost right now!

Crap well now you are confusing me...LOL The two amber lights on the front of our bumper...are those a flasher or a running light?? Hmmm well if they are a running light, they can be removed and a bracket for the Hellas can be installed...

I think we are confusing each other

Hehe! Yeah, those are the flashers/turn signals/blinkers, whatever you want to call them. Thus the reason why I'm confused because I can't see parting with those since they are a safety thing. I agree if they were running lights that you could replace those with some driving lights or get rid of them altogether, but alas, they are not. Nice concept though anyway, I guess. Hmm.
