Anyone heard of these guys?

Has anyone heard of or done business with Taprecycling.com?, they specialize in Toyota and Lexus parts, and I'm thinking of ordering some stuff for my Toyo from them.

Hmmmm...

I've heard mostly complaints about those guys. Correct me if I'm wrong somebody. Coery came across a promising one in Colorado. Here's a link.

Cebby's right, I've heard nothing but complaints about them. Stuff about parts being WAY over priced, others not getting the right parts, and most / if not all saying what jerks the guys at the company are. I'd stay away from them.

Witness if you please

The power of the Internet.
I think that post over there at POR pretty much ruined a lot of business for TAP.

They can run, but they can't hide.

This reminds me of someone I know who's parents are in a shady business. What makes people think they can screw you out of your hard earned money, and get away with it? Don't these idiots realize that business comes from word of mouth? Or in their case lack of business. I will never consider buying anyting from them.

Yeah, I noticed that. I thought that was pretty funny also. Those jokers are going to lose a lot of business.

All I can say, as a business owner, is that is about the worst thing that can happen...You only need one customer with a keyboard that you treat like ˟˟˟˟˟ and a lot of business is lost! I personally attempt to get feedback from all of my customers to determine if they are satisfied...if not, I try to ensure they are. In these guys case, I think they messed around with too many customers...everyone has a problem with them, and one thing they need to understand is that referals are everything!!

Anyhow, just my two cents

Umm... Wow! I don't think I've ever seen negative feedback about an auto parts company like that before!

I won't be buying anything from them, ever. After reading that, I'm pretty sure it'd be a bad idea.

One question tho, what about Maxx Auto? I find myself reading some things online where they're great, and others saying they charge people multiple times, don't ship parts, lie to customers, and have horrible service. Are they to be avoided as well?

Does anyone have a list of GOOD places to buy from?

Tap

Me being overseas one of my only ways of getting part is over the internet, I contacted tap in a part and they said it wqas in stock but when the guy went to figure the shipping he was like Oh an APO addess, no it would cost you too much for shipping, good luck finding your part......

He wouldn't even tell me the shipping amount!
Think it was a drive shaft on my 93 celica..

Lost another customer.

I go to tap all the time -- at least once a month since i live in sacramento and its a short drive. I recently got some used TRD headers for my truck for 175bucks from them. well anyways, the truth about them is that they often charge more for parts than the dealer will-- and i know this because my uncle is the master service manager for the maita auto group and he gives me his cost when i buy something from toyota. The trick is to know exactly how much the dealer will sell you the part for-- then reduce that price by 35% and thats what tap should be selling it for-- if not, they are trying to rip you off. its happened to me every single time i went in there. they try to tell me what the dealer cost is ( like i dont know or something ) and attempt to sell parts for more than that. I just recently bought a heater control valve for my taco and they wanted 60 bucks-- i told them the dealer sells it for 55, then they said they could sell it to me for 25. You just have to know how to talk to those people i guess.

in any case, they aint polite!
