Anyone have any experience with mounting a T-17?

I was looking at install directions and the bracket placement seems a bit... off. When the brackets are actually on, there is a sizeable gap that has no reason to be there. Based on the diagram and the bracket placement there doesn't look like there's any other possible explanation.

No pictures because I was a dummy and left them about 65 miles away.

hey pete,

are you thinking that we didnt do it right w/ that side bracket?

edit: check out this page on tjm's site: http://www.tjmbullbars.com/01-03tacomat17.htm

it looks like the gap in the pic is very similar to the gap we saw when we put your bumper on. hopefully someone on the forum w/ a tacoma like yours w/ a T17 will post a pic

bob

ps. yota: the 4runner and tacoma tjm is different. not a drastic difference, but different enough

Yeah Bob
I was thinking about it on the drive home and still can't figure out what might have caused the gap other than maybe we put the brackets on in reverse order? Maybe it should have been the side brackets first and then the main?

I got my PIAAs mounted - looks sweet

I don't have my camera just yet...

Actually, I was waiting for Jennifer to finish from her lab because we were supposed to go back home tonight. She ended late and we both figured it'd be better that she went home and I stayed here and got a full night's rest before the drive.

Now I'm here surfing.

I'll let her drive
We'll be headed to PV. Her parents live about 15 min. away from mine.

Shouldn't you be sleeping too?
