Anybody got a supercharged V8?

Edge,
Did you ever find out f there was any truth to what the stealer told you about having to switch to the sport hood (to keep it on-topic) ? I think that has to be BS.
I'm going to SC my V8 (maybe) when the prices come down a bit and I start thinking it's slow <G>
I have always love BMWs, the 330's are the heat and the xi's are very, very nice. I'll get one as a second car in a few years. Silver is my pick too.
I switched to Synth @ 1500mi... I've used Mobil-1 for years with great results. It's in my 300ZX, but I went with Royal Purple in my 4Runner. I was told it's a better quality and I get it (by the case +1 qt) for only $.20 more per bottle than Mobil-1.

The stealer don't know anything, no Scoop hood is needed and anytime I want the SC bolted on I just have to bring it in, just turns out I was talkin to all the wrong people.
How long do you keep the oil in before you change it cause with the SC even the synthetic should be changed ever 3k, from what I read.

Edge,
In the 'runner... I'm doing the 5k mile thing, because I don't know how long I'll have it. What this means is, after 5k miles, I start to entertain the idea of changing the oil and do it when I get around to it.
I am more concerned about the filter than the oil. I get the 'stealer to do it because their prices are on par with everyone else in town, yet they deduct $$ because I bring my own oil (nobody else does that BTW) and they promise 30min or it's free... They have NEVER done it in 30min <G> So I have never paid.
I did 10k once in the 300ZX, when I had to oil changed they said it looked new and the filter was okay... This was with Mobil-1. I can tell when my 300's oil is going sour because it will start to get hot when driving in traffic.
I tend to keep auto's forever (8ys on my Z) so I try to stay on top of things.
