Just got a set of Brembo rotor blanks and a set of new pads and don't trust my abilities to tackle this task on my own. I just want to drop off my rig and have it done right no questions asked. Or, I wouldn't mind having one of you Yota-heads doing this for me and paying you for your time (or I can toss in some adult beverages maybe). One more question, do the front wheel bearings need to be replaced as well during the brake job?

Oh, almost forgot. I still haven't had the chance to put on my SAWs yet either . C'mon, help a brotha out!

 

its a piece of cake to do brakes on a taco
1. remove wheel
2. remove the two 17mm bolts holding the caliper to the knuckle, remove caliper
3. compress all 4 pistons back into the caliper
4. remove old pads install new pads
5. slide old rotor off wheel studs, slide new rotor over wheel studs
6. replace caliper
7. do other side
8. pump brakes before moving
9. done, enjoy a beer

but if you still want someone else to do them, I'm sure some Yotatech person will help you, personally i wouldn't take it to a brake place

 

So it's that easy, huh, Joe? Hmmmm. Do the brakes need to be adjusted in any way after replacement of the rotors and pads or will they adjust on by themselves? BTW, do the bearings need to be repacked?

 

they will adjust themselves when you pump the pedal after your done, the bearings on your truck are not serviceable.

 

Its easy as long as you can get the caliper bolts free. I couldn't budge mine and don't have air tools, so I took it somewhere instead of snapping the head off.

 

Gee, greaaaaaat. That's a comforting thought....

 

if you do it yourself (it IS easy), but some PB Blaster on the bolts the night before. THis will help with stuck/ stubborn bolts.

Very straight forward. Pick up a Chilton manual if you want directions.
