Angry Another VSC OFF/VSC TRAC Thread

I've been searching for the better part of 3 weeks now, trying different suggestions, but I have not found a solution. Like clock work, every time I stop to get gas, my VSC OFF and VSC TRAC lights come on. After a given amount of time, they eventually go out. It could be hours, days, weeks, etc.. It's a 2002 4Runner SR5. I tried the zero point calibration and that did not seem to have any affect. I've replaced the gas cap, still nothing. I've since replaced the stop light switch. Here's where it gets interesting. Soon after replacing that switch, I started having Cruise Control issues. When I would try to engage cruise control, the light would simply flash. After removing and adjusting the switch, I was able to get the cruise control working or so I thought. Yesterday, I engaged cruise control and it was working properly. As I approached a stop light, I pressed the brake to begin slowing down and my cruise control light began flashing. Simply turning the cruise control off and then back on corrected the issue. I was then able to use cruise control again. This continued to happen throughout the day. I was able to duplicate this while parked at my house by continually pressing and releasing the brake pedal. This morning, as I drove to work, only the VSC OFF light was lit., cruise control worked properly. Part way here, the VSC TRAC also lit up; however, cruise control remained functional. What I'll see when I leave work today remains a mystery. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what lights light up and what ones don't. I do not have any CEL or ABS lights. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Uggh. That's maddening. Wish I could offer a suggestion.

Friday, after work, I decided to perform the zero point calibration again. Knock on wood, I haven't seen the VSC OFF or VSC TRAC lights since. I do still have the random Cruise Control light flashing though. It's strange because I can activate and use the cruise control without issue. If I tap the brakes a few times, the cruise control light starts blinking. When this happens, the only way I can use the cruise control again is to cycle the cruise control off and on. Once I do that, everything is working properly again. That is, until I tap the brakes a few more times. It could be 3 times or 12, there really is no pattern.
