Another OME Install Thread

Well, I finally did it, I am lifted!

This past Friday evening and Saturday morning, I managed to get my OME gear installed on my 4Runner, WAHOO!

I purhcased a set of used 881's with comfort shocks from Phong and new rear gear from Mike at Xtreme, 891 coils and standard shocks, and a revtek diff drop kit. Big thanks to these two guys for great deals on all the gear! (Mike - grab the pics below from webshots if you like!)

The results: I ended up with 2 inches up front and 3 inches in the rear. I was not able to use the CB 1 inchers up front that were included as part of the package from Phong. With these on, I was at over three inches of lift in the front, and the CVs were way too severe. I'm keeping 'em around, though, just in case I get the funds for a new front bumber.

The ride: One word ~EXCELLENT! This is such an improvement over stock that I am really sorry I waited so long to upgrade. WHat else can I say...

Here's a teaser:

There a few more pics (before and after) in my Webshots Album .

I also installed my version of Lars' swar bar discos. These things are really cool. Thanks for posting all of your research for our benefit, Lars. Now I just need some bigger meats to fill up that gap in wheel wells...LOL!

Let me know what you guys think.
Cheers!

Tom-

I just followed Lars instructions for making a set on my own:

larsdennert.com

They are similar to the Nuke design, but adjustable, depending on the amount of lift you have.

Ohh, ok, I thought you might have come up with your own design or something, based on what Lars had done.

No, we didn't meet on Sunday. He was out at Ft. Sumner at an event & I forgot it was Father's day too, so I wasn't able to do anything anyways.

I will be basically unavailable til after the weekend of the 4th of July due to work.

I would like to get together though, before CO4RJ so we can test things out a little bit.

OOPS SORRY, OFF-TOPIC
