man that's a sweet looking 4runner! i almost bought a set of those wheels for mine, but went with '06 Tacoma wheels instead, but they look really nice on you runner. yes indeed, that is one great color. i don't think toyota makes a bad color, or maybe nothing looks bad on a toyota? i know a guy who's mom has a '97 that color and i told him that when she wants to sell it, have her call me!

i really like the look of the holes and dimples in your rear bumper! a cool dress up for that stock rear bumper. that would help when cleaning after some off-road adventures, just spray out the holes or maybe stuff would pass right through them and not get stuck at all?! mark me down for some dimple dies

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I actually haven't seen another 4Runner (around town) that's the same color.

Does anyone have a SS lift. Or what lift would you recommend? I'd like to get the 1.2 but I want to know how it rides first. I hear people say the OME 890 coils are stiff and the LC coils are softer. But Steve recommends the OME 890 (or 7.2) since I don't have bumpers or sliders.

Thanks.

I have the SS System 1.51 (not on yet but i have done my research)
I hear good things about the SS systems.
And I think you have it backwards, The OME coils might be softer then the LC since the LC give you 1.5" of rake and even stay at that with the rear bumper.
I hear though the added bumpers make the ride more comfortable.

YotaFun,
That's what's confusing me. I've read the 890's are stiff and the LC's are softer. But the LC's give more lift so................... Since everyone has different opinions I might just have to pull the trigger and try one. Worst comes to worst I can change the coils.

well let me ask you this.
Are you gong to get a rear bumper?
IF so are you going to have the tire carrier on it.
Also what else are you gonna haul back there?
Are you going to have gas cans, spare parts or such?
The added lift from the LC coils will still make the ride even while the OME could have rear sag still.....
I opted for teh SS system cause I will get a rear bumper with carrier, plus I will have a second spare on the roof eventually, a second gas tank eventually were the spare tire use to sit, plus a wooded cargo compartment to hold extra parts.
So I believe the LC coils will stand up to that...
Just my .02
