Another Mr. Alternator bites the dust!

Last September or so I installed a 150amp Mr. Alternator...All was well with it, until it died in January. Had it rebuilt, and we're back on the road in 2 days. NOW, for the past week or so my charging light has been coming on every now and then...Never at idle, only at speed. Every time I had it tested, it would test OK. This morning during the middle of my hour long drive home from Sacramento, the unit gives out again. AGAIN. I pull into Kragen, and it tests bad and I'm running on 10.2 volts.

What gives? What would cause an alternator to die so often? IMy battery (Optima Yellow), is in tip top condition..and all the wires seem to be OK. Nothing unusual, here.

I got into the high output alt deal knowing that their lifespan is shorter....but less than a year and it's broken twice?!

..somebody have a beer for me

Stock wiring with the exception of the ground to body/frame and amp power wires. Those are 4ga.
