Another ISR question

While examining my truck today in preparation to do the ISR mod I checked my oil. To me it seems like the pipe would be in the way of the dipstick, is this true, has anyone had any problems with that?

Oh yeah, it's a 3.Slow.

The new piping shouldn't be in the way of the oil dipstick. You do need to be careful however about the master cylinder.

Since we're talking about the ISR mod, let me throw something elseout there. The possibility of the nuts for the fittings coming loose on the inside of the pipe makes me nervous, even with Loc-Tite on the threads. I'm considering using JB Weld to secure the fitting to the pipe from the outside (making sure it is air tight, etc). Any reason why this wouldn't work?

another thing, I've been reading about some people using PVC pipe, would that hold up to the heat of the engine?

I would think so. I'm actually going to use rubber hose "For Sewer and Drain Use Only" for the connections to the throttle body and AFM. Hopefully it won't melt or anything after my test drive. I'm also planning on wrapping it with heat shield.

PVC is fine. I have used PVC on my ISR mods for thousands of miles in desert heat with no problems.
