Another Cat question

Hey,
I'm done welding and rewelding my cat. Decided to just replace it. Found a few at Oreilleys.
Now I bought the truck in Calif. No longer live there though. Do I need to get a cat that's Calif emissions?
Cause that's how the truck came set up? Or if I get one that's not CA emissions will there be error codes jumping up?

My understanding is that CA cars have more than just an extra cat to contend with. The is different ecu maps, more sensors, more vacuum lines, etc. I think if you tried using federal parts instead you are asking for bigger headaches.

You can buy the Cats for The California Emission Package but the don`t need to be CARB Certified .

I have a 2000 3.4 I have been using Walker Cats since I got the Truck here in Pa

Not sure what your working on. I missed that 2001
