There is no way I can fit 35s because of my limited flares. Believe it or not the 285s are a little on the close side . I just don't want to have holes all over the side of my truck.
I don't know about the limited's fender flares explicitly, but on my 2000 I had those painted ones that were about 2'' wide. I took them off and filled the holes in the body with black plastic pop in fasteners for automobiles I obtained at Lowe's Home Center. I painted them OEM silver because the color of my rig. Of course my issue was not with tires rubbing, at least not yet, my issue was they are just something else to get in the way of wheelin'.

Doc,
Thanks for the complements. And yes those are the 17" sequoia/tundra wheels on HoJu's rig.

UBoat,
Do you have any pics of the finished product? I don't mind the flares because they protect the body and actaully have saved me a few times, I just don't like the holes. I think the bushwackers look a lot like the stock ones but I don't know if they stick down like the yota ones. I don't know if the bushwackers will cover the holes from the OEM ones

http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/mom...@sbcglobal.net try that my good sir. I have often wondered if Bushwacker or such used the OEM holes.

actually not...
they are slightly smaller... its like 32.8 or something... I also want to get MT (mut terrains) which usually run big because of the more agressive tread.

actually a 285/75R16 is more like a 32.8x11.4x16

a 305/75R16 is more like a 33x12.50x16

Austin,
Looks great man. If you want to go bigger on the meats make sure you do it. What sucks is that the Firestone Destinations only come as 285's for the 16" rims. I want those tires too but 285's aren't as beefy looking as my 305/70/16's. I just swapped out my 305's for my 285 Revos, mounted on the stock rims, last night. I figured it'd be good for the winter months. Too bad my rig looks like a PU-C mobile now.

we'll get the 35's on there, they are going to fit on mine after my body lift, i don't care how much trimming i have to do. it is the back of the fender where people usually run into problems and they really don't stick out much in the back. we'll see though. i have a plan b if i have to cut too much, and that is cut more and then do what they did with that lexus gx470 in four wheeler magazine, tape up all the holes and rhino line the rocker panels or i may just take it to a guy i know have him fill them for me. regardless, i have to go there because of the gears i bought, so i will let you know what is needed. and if you want a cheap set of 35" for 17" wheels let me know.

i will, i don't know what i am going to do to fit them yet, but they are going on, i don't really care what has to be done. i am not sure which sequoia wheels i am going to use, the grey/silver ones are $95 a piece at discount tire and i can get the gunmetal/bronzy colored ones for $100 a piece from a guy i know, with the white and silver on my 4runner i will probably go with silver ones although i like the gunmetal color more.

Whats the backspacing of those wheels? I can't imagive they are that wide? I'm sure you had to add spacers right HoJu? I mean, your stance is HUGE!

my wheels are right off of a 2004 Sequoia, not the knock off's... they're 17X7.5's with 5" bs and i used 1-1/4" wheel spacers from marlin crawlers...

Justin, are you dead set on the Sequoia wheels? cause these would look good too....

i asked him the same about the spacers because i had been anticipating using them, i think he said he is running 1.5 spacers all the way around. the back spacing on those is right around 5". i think they are 7.5" wide so they are a little wider than ours as well, i would love to send a set off to get beadlocked like brucets has done with his stock wheels as that would add around 1" to the width.

i have seen those too recently. i like those as well. i think they have even more backspacing though and i probably can't get those for less than $100 per wheel. i really like the tundra/sequoia wheels, if i hadn't just bought tires when they came out i would have had them a year ago.
