Another Balljoint spacer question

how many people used their current ball joints?

My 4Runner has 126K miles or so, I am just trying to figure out if I need to change out my ball joints or keep the current ones?

I ordered a new set of ball joints and control arm bushings. While I'm in there anyway, I'm wanting to get rid of the poping noises.

My front end "clunks" on washboard roads and I assume it's the bushings. Which bushings are you replacing-top and bottom? Are they easy to do once the a-arms are off? How much are they and where do you get them?

I'm just replacing the lower bushings now because I did the uppers a year ago. They require a press to replace, so I'm having a Toyota mechanic I know with a press do them. I ordered them from some Texas Toyota dealer that gives internet discounts, I can't find my notes on it right now. They were about $30+ each if I remember right. There are 4 lower and 4 upper bushings.

I checked my ball jointsand control arm bushings last week and they seem to be fine, so I'm going to install the spacers without anything being changed out.
HIghland runner; PM Mileys 87 about the bushings. We replaced his upper and lower ones a month or so ago with poly ones and I think they only cost him $70 for the whole set.

he was going to go with all rubber but its rather expensive at $30 a piece

I kept my stockers.

The boots were fine and the joints were showing no other wear issues with 146k miles.

I put new ball joints, tie rod ends, and idler arm on. Thought about the a-arm bushings but didn't do them. The ride is nice on and off-road.

I kept my stock ones. They only had 65,000 miles on them and are in good shape.
