Amsoil Super Shift Tranny Fluid

Has anyone tried this stuff?? Since I haven't done a valve body upgrade, I'm thinking that I could benefit from using it in my transmission. Amsoil claims quicker, solid shifts, no slipping, and reduced wear on the clutch plates and transmission.

Could there be any negative effects with using it?

2000 automatic 4runner performance mods-TRD supercharger, headers, exhaust, tranny cooler, walbro 190 pump, 305cc injectors, 2 step colder plugs, deckplate mod, ISR mod, and amsoil filters

thanks for your help

Amsoil Supershift Trans fluid is not a Dextron II or III fluid and is not Toyota compatible, therefore can not be used in your transmission without causing damage and voiding the warranty.

.
Note: AMSOIL Supershift Transmission Fluid is not recommended as a replacement for Ford Mercon, GM Dexron or Chrysler ATF+ type fluids in passenger vehicles and truck transmissions as it may cause erratic shift patterns, chattering or noise. AMSOIL is not responsible for transmission performance inconsistent with those specifications listed, where no modifications have been made from the original manufacturer’s design.

Yeah, I thought it wouldn't be a good idea since no one has used it before. I just thought I could mix it with Amsoil ATF, since the Amsoil Supershift can be mixed with any other oil.
thanks for the reply

What ATF is specified for your truck?

Mine is spec for D-II and D-III. It was not until very recently that Toyota came out with and speicfied thier own propitary ATF-T for the trucks. It was first specked for the RAV4 that had a combined tranny, diff, and some kind of clutch for the rear drive.

I do know that people have been using the Super Shift in their 4Runners with a good result, but you need to check to see what fluid is specked for your truck and if it is ATF-T I would not do it although in this case it may not hurt anything.
