Hey, i just got the new amsoil airfilter. I replaced my TRD one, which i was not too impressed with. The new filter offers better filtration and higher aiflow. It is a nice move and it is a lot cheaper.

 

Have you done the deckplate mod yet?
If not, that will give you some more low end torque, and HP.

There a few write-ups on how to do it in the Tech section.
The Amsoil filter works perfect for that.

 

Cool, I am glad that you can get one. It sucks for us, ya know it Corey, us 2nd gens that don't have them. I would most certainly get one for mine if they had them! :fireman:

 

what do you mean by the deck palte mod? Is that cutting the hole in the front of the airbox? I have taken the elbow out and it has added some HP and torque.

 

Yes, cutting the hole out. There are two very good write-ups in our Tech section on how to do it.

From reading up on all the comments here of people who have done it, they are very pleased with the outcome from the extra ponies.

i'd attempt the deckplate mod but i have a 2.7 and i think the airbox is different...
