Im toying with the idea of buying a 3rd gen 4 runner. I posted a question a year or so back on another forum and it seemed like most agreed to go with a 97 Limited. What opinions do yall have? What year 3rd gen to get, and what options do I need to include? I myself want 4 wheel drive, and leather int. Also the cool 3.4L engine and automatic transmission. Cost will be a factor so I need to hold it to less than 22k. Im thinking anything from a 2000 model and older. So what would the year and extra options I should look for be?

 

Williemom, I would go with a 99 or 2000 SR5 with the Highlander package for the 99 or sport edition package for 2000. They should be within your price range. The all wanting hood scope comes with those models. Just my opinion.
