What part # do I need for an Amsoil air filter for a 2003 4Runner V8?

I just got mine yesterday, it is a pain to put in the first time becuase they make it slightly bigger, so you have to muscle it in to get an airtight seal...but once its in, its in

Slight improvement...its hard for me to remember because i swapped out a K&N for the Amsoil, they both have the same amount of airflow....but from my stock to K&N, it was not that noticeable...sorry for lack of info

Pardon my stupidity, but why did you change from K&N to Amsoil?

It's been proven that k&n air filters let through more dirt than do amsoil oiled foam filters. Furthermore, the amsoil filters can hold more dirt and filter better than almost any kind of filter. (as far as i know...)

I had a K&N on my v6, i sold it on ebay

What air filter are you using now? I can't find on the Amsoil site that they have one for the V6 yet. E-mailed them to find out when they might have one, but no response in almost a week.

Any insight?

I just went back to stock. They seem fairly descent as long as you change them often enough. Also, I am just really confortable with a completely new air filter every so often and when I did use the K&N I didn't really notice any significant performance increase; MAYBE increased throttle response.. but I doubt it.. could be my mind playing ticks on me. The real way to test would be to do a double blind study

I think part of the reason I didn't seem much of a performance increase is becuase usually I only rev the truck to about 2500rpms... occasionaly to 3k rpms, but never higher.. there is just no need.
