All Range E-locker HELP?

It's not often that I don't understand what is going on with my 4Runner, I haven't posted in the general tech forum in a loooooong time, but I'm loast on this one. I was trying to wire my e-locker to be range(2WD, 4 HI, and 4 LOW). I followed the write up in the tech section, I cut and grounded the blue an red wire 3rd from the left on the bottom row, blah blah blah. It's the right wire trust me.

The problem comes here, grounding that wire engauges my 4WD and it won't let go of the front diff until I unground the wire. I ahve the push botton type 4WD that came on LTDs. So in 2WD with the botton no engauged, once I ground the wire the 4WD engauges, and won't disengauge until I undo the ground. The locker is not being effected at all by this wire, it will still engauge in 4LOW like usuall, but 4HI will not let go. What is going on here, is there something different when you have the push botton type 4WD, or am I just screwing this thing up big time?

ANY INPUT IS WELCOME. Pictures would be great, suggestions, something. Let me hear it all, it might get my wheels turning. If there is someone out there with a FSM for 96-02 Runners, my rig is a 97 LTD 4WD with pust botton 4HI. Look up the wiring diagram for me and see what it says about the e-locker wiring.

Thanks in advance.

you are grounding the wrong wire...leave the wire disconncted and try to put it in 4WD...if it doesnt engage that means you have the 4WD wire....hope that helps...

Well , I finally got it to work for me. I had a bad connection with one of the exsisting connections in the harness. Now it seems work great.
