i think that the reason that they dont have them listed for the 96-98 models is becasue of the plug that is on top of the intake tube, next to the airbox (not sure what it is called), but on my 99 it is not mounted on top of the tube it is mounted to next to it.

 

rocket bought my MIT that fits 99-02 for his 96. He had to use the other threaded hole for a second vacuum line.
