There are many people here who would say no and just do the deckplate mod. I currently have an ebay knockoff K&N filter and intake. I made a custom box and ran my intake to it. I didnt feel a major differnece but I could tell the noise was a good bit louder especially at acceleration or WOT.

there are many posts about getting better mileage. I believe the best bang for the buck is doing the deckplate mod. i dont think they improve mileage. i have the amsoil air filter and didnt notice anything, but i get a cool hissing sound

ok nevermind, you dont have a signature with your rig. As far as I know the deckplate mod will not work on 3.0 but maybe I could be wrong. The 3 slow guys can chime in on this one.

blaine,

try searching "2nd gen deckplate" and see what comes up.

also for your thread titles, please be a little more specific or descriptive. for example "will this air filter improve mpg?"
